I printed two of the tulips images. I was undecided what colour combo I would do for my project so I used both of the images coloured.

Here is card #1!

A Boy And His Dog-Creative Moments Challenge #141

Here I am once again with a fantastic challenge from Creative Moments Challenge Blog.

For Challenge #141 the theme is a minimum of 2 flowers on your creation.

My sponsor this challenge is

The image that I have chosen is Cinema Chaplin. It is an adorable image of a boy and his dog. I have boys and dogs so this one tugs at my heart. ❤️ I don’t very often use flowers on masculine cards so this is a bit of a challenge for me but I am up for it!

I used Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs paper. One of the papers had a beautiful floral print in gorgeous, vintage colours. The colours of this floral paper were incorporated into the Cinema Chaplin stamp as to coordinate the image with the paper. The floral paper is what I used as the flowers requested in the theme. I layered up several patterned papers and knotted lace ribbon to give the look of depth while using 3D adhesive to lift the characters.

Products used: Mari digi image, Spectrum Noir markers, Chameleon markers, Graphic45 paper sticker and chipboard , Recollections cardstock, miscellaneous ribbon.

Hockey Family-Cricut Style

You may or may not know that we are a hockey family that doesn’t play ice hockey! 😂We watch hockey. We play street hockey. We play knee hockey. We talk hockey. We collect hockey cards. We talk stats! We love the stats! My boys DO however play ball hockey which is basically, hockey off ice!

Every season has playoffs, hopefully ending in a trip to the medal games. We have made it to the medal rounds a few times before but have always come up empty. The one constant in our playoffs is the t-shirts that I wear to cheer on my teams! For the past few seasons I have used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut and design my t-shirts. I used my Cricut Easy Press to press it.

Here are some of my past t-shirts. As you can see our teams have been the Grizzlies and the Wolves.

Again we are on the Grizzlies and Wolves but last playoffs I only made one Wolves shirt because both boys ended up on Wolves team but in different age groups. This time I needed another Wolves shirt to wear so I made this one for me.

My younger son wanted to get in on the T-shirt action so we made him this one which he will proudly wear this weekend to his brother’s games.

Unfortunately our team drew the short straw so we have a game at 7am on Sunday morning! 😴 I made a shirt for the occasion! I love this shirt so much that I will be wearing it a lot even when we aren’t in playoffs!

I love using my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Easy Press. It gives us the flexibility to create what we want, when we want it! You can bet that as long as my boys are playing ball hockey I will be making playoff shirts!

Red & White Queen-Creative Moments Challenge #137

Welcome to my Creative Moments project for the Creative Moments Challenge Blog Challenge #137. The theme this week is all about fairies and other magic/mystic/fantasy creatures.

My sponsor for this round of challenges is

There are so many pretty digi stamps at the Mari Digi Stamps store! My chosen digi is Red and White Queen. I thought this would be part of a really cute and fanciful table centre piece. I started by colouring the image with Spectrum Noir markers.

I used permanent metallic markers to colour the crowns and buckles. Fussy cutting is not my friend! 😕

The cup was cut with my Cricut.

Here is the complete project! I hope you like it!

Supplies used: Mari Digi stamp, Spectrum Noir markers, Chameleon markers, DCWV card stock, & various ephemera.
