New Addition to The Family

Last January one of my boys started bugging asking about getting another dog. He did his research, presented the evidence and supplied the deposit for a German Shepherd puppy. We were supposed to get her last fall but that fell through. We put ourselves on the wait list for a puppy with a different breeder and were notified that we would be getting a girl, Grace, this spring.

Grace-Cute as a Button

The boys made the road trip to Saskatchewan at the end of April in a rented RV and then took her camping for a couple of days before bringing her home permanently.

Now you probably already know that we already have 2 dogs so this makes 3! Dudley, 11 year old, blind Dachshund. Sophie, 10 1/2 yr old Boston Terrier. They are not fans of the puppy and who can blame them? She is as annoying as shit to them! 😆

So life with a new puppy has been interesting to say the least! As a dog mom to 2 small dogs that are old and only slightly more energetic than a sloth. She is in everything! I mean EVERYTHING! And she poops A LOT .

Saturday Shenanigans!

On weekends when the weather is nice I like to spend the time in my backyard working in my garden and flower beds. This little stinker tries to help. 🙄 She is terrible at it!

Look Mom! I’m a helper!

We are all thankful that she starts puppy preschool at the beginning of July!

Finally Just Chillin’

So if you counting here is the final pet count: 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 rabbit, 2 dwarf frogs and 1 Beta fish!

Also if you are interested,Duds has his own Instagram page. He shares pictures of himself and Sophie while complaining about his new sister Grace. He occasionally shares pictures of Stumpy, his CBF (cat best friend) and his nemesis Dinkers.

If you have made it this far into the post thank you! If your pet has an Instagram page let Dudley know. He likes to follow other pet pages!

A Boy And His Dog-Creative Moments Challenge #141

Here I am once again with a fantastic challenge from Creative Moments Challenge Blog.

For Challenge #141 the theme is a minimum of 2 flowers on your creation.

My sponsor this challenge is

The image that I have chosen is Cinema Chaplin. It is an adorable image of a boy and his dog. I have boys and dogs so this one tugs at my heart. ❤️ I don’t very often use flowers on masculine cards so this is a bit of a challenge for me but I am up for it!

I used Graphic 45 Raining Cats & Dogs paper. One of the papers had a beautiful floral print in gorgeous, vintage colours. The colours of this floral paper were incorporated into the Cinema Chaplin stamp as to coordinate the image with the paper. The floral paper is what I used as the flowers requested in the theme. I layered up several patterned papers and knotted lace ribbon to give the look of depth while using 3D adhesive to lift the characters.

Products used: Mari digi image, Spectrum Noir markers, Chameleon markers, Graphic45 paper sticker and chipboard , Recollections cardstock, miscellaneous ribbon.
