Jewellery By Scrapatini-My Other Hobby

You all know that I love to make cards and scrapbook. Some of you may also know that I also love to make things with my Cricut, like t-shirts and more. I bet not all of you know that I also like to make jewellery and hair clips.

Here are a few of my favourite jewellery pieces that I have made. I have kept some for myself, given some away as gifts and sold a whole bunch. Please contact me for custom orders!

Craft Sale

Winter Is…..Here

Well, it should come as no surprise that winter is here. I mean it is not like it hasn’t happened before. I really don’t mind the snow but I am not a fan of the cold. I am not even joking when I say that on October 31 it was +6C. and rainy. November 1 it was the start of winter. This weekend after a heavy snowfall warning we are looking at high temperatures of -8C.

I know that the worst is yet to come but winter could not have waited until after this weekend? I had my craft sale on Saturday. It was snowy and cold. I hoped that the colder weather would not put people off of Christmas buying spirit. It didn’t!!

My first ever craft sale was successful. I sold lots of small items like jewellery, wine glasses, wine bags and tags. It seems people really like their wine!

This craft sale was at a rather small venue but it seems to be popular. It took me three tries to get accepted but now that Scrapatini was accepted I get an invite back each year so that makes me crazy happy. The table costs are low here and I made my table cost back and more in my first sale!

I had great support from friends and neighbours that came to see me. I was also able to take orders and made quite a few contacts with people look for personalized items.Anyways I now have time to work on my project for my feature in a couple of weeks.

Me Time

Lately I have been working on so many projects for the craft sale that Scrapatini will be participating in, that I have not had any chance to make something just for me. I feel a bit overwhelmed and excited at the same time in regards to the craft sale but as much as I love crafting I realize that I also haven’t scrapbooked for my own pleasure since at least the spring. I decided that today was the day to spend a little time working on a few pages of our Dominican holiday.

We stayed at The Nickelodeon Resort over spring break and had the most fabulous time! We saw monkeys! I just had to scrapbook those monkeys ( and my monkeys!) I decided on some pocket scrapbooking instead of my usual traditional style of regular scrapbooking. Here is just a peek at what I have been working on.

I still have to add the titles, journaling and dates but it is a good start. Pocket scrapbooks are a great way to get a vacation or special event done in a quick yet appealing way.

You who! I am over here! I know it has been a while but I have been busy. My family went on vacation for 10 days to beautiful Maui. During that time we relaxed, checked out the sights and ate plentifully. I love traveling but it is always nice to be home. The one thing that I did miss other then our pets was crafting. It has been a long time since I have gone that long without working on some sort of project.

I am participating in a neighbourhood craft sale in a couple of weeks so I had been ramping up production during the summer. I started making jewellery which has been very successful. I worked on a few different types of signs. I got really good at using my Cricut Easy Press. I made Christmas cards and ornaments which was really hard to do when the weather was nice!

When my craft sale is over I hope to get back to some more scrapbooking and card making. If you want to see more check out my Facebook page. Scrapatini on Facebook
